Overview

  • Department:Nazareth Infusion Center
  • Schedule:Full time days, 7:30am to 4:30pm, flex time as needed
  • Facility:Saint Mary of Nazareth
  • Location:Chicago, IL

Responsibilities

Role Summary

Provides clinical and operational leadership for the Oncology/Hematology Infusion Clinic in partnership with the Manager. Ensures safe, high‑quality infusion care for oncology/hematology patients, supports strong clinical staff performance, and maintains full regulatory compliance. Oversees efficient daily operations and serves as the administrative lead in the Manager’s absence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily clinical operations to ensure safe, efficient, and patient‑centered care
  • Support quality initiatives, performance improvement, and compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Oversee staff orientation, training, competency validation, and performance during assigned shifts
  • Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and leadership to support coordinated care
  • Assist with staffing, workflow management, and resource utilization
  • Provide direct patient care as needed and guide timely adjustments to care plans

Preferred Qualifications

  • OCN or ONS certification preferred
  • Oncology/hematology nursing experience in inpatient or outpatient settings

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

FACILITY / UNIT TRAINING

  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care.
  • Non-OB Facilities – NRP Required 90 days after hire and maintained.
  • Professional Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $36.75 hour to $55.70 hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
